Excellent
Feature: Most
Senvex sprue grippers have built in sensor slots or are available
with finger sensors. Separate sensor brackets are not needed
which helps to keep the weight of the EOAT as low as possible. |

- Senvex sprue gripper # 790
This is
our favorite gripper for many reasons. The internal jaw mechanism
is constructed
of hardened steel components for a maintenance free life
exceeding
5 million cyles. Sprue fingers are made of hardcoat anodized machine grade
aluminum (replacement finger kits are available - replacement
does not require disassembly
of the gripper). The integrated sprue finger design allows a wide range of
sprue diameters to be gripped. Interlaced serration securely
grips small diameter sprues,
while the cradle design assures that even
large diameter sprues won’t twist out. Dual sensor slots allow 2 sensors
to mount on the gripper . This gripper offers the highest grip force in a
compact and lightweight body at an excellent price. |

Value - Senvex sprue gripper # 1473
We consider
this to be one of our best values. At $129,
no other brand of gripper comes close. It provides high
grip force in a compact, light weight body.Sprue fingers
are made of anodized extruded aluminum - replacement finger
kits
are available (replacement requires disassembly
of the gripper). The integrated sprue
finger design allows a wide range of sprue diameters to be gripped.
Interlaced
serration
securely grips small diameter sprues, while the cradle design
assures that even
large diameter sprues won’t twist out. NOTE: This gripper is very sensitive
to sensor positioning. Although sensing is possible with these grippers, we
suggest those wanting maximum sensing capabilities to use
either the #790 or #1880. |
Comparing
the # 790 and the # 1473.
Both are excellent
sprue grippers. The #790-style has the best performance,
design characteristics, and life expectancy of any sprue
gripper available.
We couldn’t improve on it, so we made a lower cost version
of it . The #1473 is still better than most other grippers out
there. And at $129, it’s a great value. Comparing 790

Senvex
Sensor Finger #
1880
Newly improved! Our
new Sensor Finger is based on the popular 1473
gripper, but with a sensor mounted on the finger. The
finger mounting makes it much easier to set up the
finger target and sensor, and eliminates the
typical ‘hide
and seek’ process of sensor set-up. We consider
the Senvex Sensor Finger to be an excellent way to
positively confirm 'sprue is gripped'. In addition
to the finger
sensor, there
are 2 more sensor slots on the gripper body that can
also be used if additional sensing is needed i.e. use
one to confirm gripper open and the other to indicate
gripper
fully
closed (sprue missed). Other features are the same as the 1473. |

Finger
Style Sprue Sensing. Having a sensor on the finger
instead of on the body of the gripper, makes it much easier
to set up the
finger target, and virtually eliminates the
typical ‘hide
and seek’ process of sensor set-up. The
single finger mounted sensor positively
confirms that the sprue has been gripped.

Senvex
Mini Sprue Gripper # 1879
We
like the Senvex Mini sprue gripper for a number of reasons.
It provides
a higher gripforce than other similarly
sized sprue grippers, and we have found that the design of the
finger teeth holds sprues better than those of other small sprue
grippers. In addition, the finger
mounted sensor on the Sensor Model (1878) makes it much easier
to set up the
finger target and sensor, and eliminates the typical ‘hide
and seek’ process of sensor set-up. |

Senvex
Large Diameter Sprue Gripper Body # 1476
Large Diameter Sprue Fingers # 5288
An excellent
choice for gripping large sprues, this gripper features
a larger finger set to grip sprues from Ø12mm to Ø25mm.
Fingers are 25 mm wide to provide extra surface contact,
and cross hatching on the gripping surface prevents the sprue
from
rotating while it is gripped. The body features
the same high quality construction as our 'original'
SENVEX sprue gripper,
that has
proven so reliable since its introduction in
2002. |
