Shot Rejection Conveyor

Eliminate the need to manually inspect and remove bad parts.

Shot Rejection Conveyor Many of todays molding presses come complete with ‘Process Control Output’—a feature that can signal the production of a bad shot. Shot Rejection, Part Diverters are used to remove bad shots from good shots. They are normally fitted onto an under press conveyor

How does it work?
On one side of the diverter is a panel which is hinged on the bottom. If a bad part is molded, a Process Control Tie-In signals two air cylinders to activate. The cylinders push the top of the hinged side panel under the mold, creating a chute to remove the bad parts. Once the parts are removed, the panel immediately returns to the upright position, which allows the next shot of parts to fall onto the conveyor.
