Over/Under Box-Filling Systems

Space saving, cost effective, an Over/Under box-filling system provides hours of unattended parts filling. Custom systems can be designed to fit perfectly along side your molding machine or in any other available space. A wide choice of options allow systems to be custom configured to meet specific application needs.

Basic Over/Under Automated Box-Filling System
This versatile Over/Under box-filling system is an excellent way to maximize your automation dollar.

  • Empty boxes are placed onto the bottom belt conveyor, where they are filled by an under press conveyor
  • Once a box is filled, a signal indexes the belt, which moves the box onto the elevator platform (a small, gravity, tilt, roller conveyor). A photo eye signals when the box is in the correct position
  • At the same time, the next empty box is moved into the fill position
  • A rodless cylinder lifts the platform and the full box to the upper level. The roller platform tilts, which moves the box onto the top gravity, roller storage conveyor
  • The system signals an operator when the top storage conveyor is full

Large, custom designed, Over/Under Box-Filling Systems are an excellent way to maximize your automation dollar. Systems can be designed to function independently, or as part of a larger plant wide container handling system. They can be sized to fit perfectly along side your molding machine or within any available area. A wide choice of options allow them to be custom configured to meet specific application needs. Space saving, Over/Under system provides hours of unattended box filling.

This custom, five-level box-filling system maximizes unattended filling times by allowing four rows of boxes to be filled and stored before an operator is needed. A Lexan® cover encloses the lift. A pneumatic cylinder, retracts the chute to allow the elevator to move up and down.

Versatile, Over/Under system offers three fill positions.

  1. Empty boxes are placed onto the top conveyor. They are positioned onto the elevator platform by an indexing conveyor with a photoeye (or a cleat switch). The elevator lowers them and moves them into the fill position (1), where they are filled by an under press conveyor
  2. This fill position is similar to position #1, except the under press conveyor fills boxes through an opening in the safety cage. This option maximizes full box storage
  3. Empty boxes can be placed on the top conveyor and be filled by a robot. The filled box is indexed onto the elevator and lowered to the bottom storage conveyor

Multi-level trunkline box filling system fills boxes at multiple molding machines, then removes them to a common storage area.

  • Empty boxes are diverted off of the lower trunkline to a two-position box filling station (one fill position, one empty box position
  • The box in the fill position is fed by a feeding conveyor coming from the press
  • As boxes are filled, they are moved back to the trunkline
  • An elevator (not shown) at the end of the lower trunkline moves filled boxes to the upper trunkline
  • Boxes are moved on the upper trunkline to a storage or shipping area
