Parts
Ionization

Does static electricity attract dirt to your parts? A Parts Ionization
option can be added to your belt conveyors. This option minimizes
dust and dirt attraction to parts, and also keeps parts from
clinging to each other or to other surfaces they come in contact
with. |

Self Contained
Cooling
While
chilled air cooling units require access to a chiller
or a tower for chilled water, self-contained
units requires nothing other than a 110V outlet. Self contained
units can provide quick-cool, post-mold cooling to as
low as 40
to 45 degrees F. (depending upon ambient plant air and the
temperature of the parts). Simple set up requires no plumbing.
Self
contained cooling is an
excellent choice: |
- When
the application is not convenient to the water source.
- If the
supply of water is limited.
- If plumbing
to the source is difficult.
- When
the application requires a portable chiller to cool the mold
(a self contained unit cools parts without sacrificing cooling
capacity to the mold).
Notes:
110 volt unit can pull up to 28 amps at start-up. A 220 volt
unit is also available.
Custom cooling
enclosures can be added to almost any EMI conveyor or automatic
container filling system. Cooling units can also be retro-fitted
in the field on existing EMI conveyors.

Examples |
This
cooling conveyor feeds warm parts from an under press conveyor
to an automated box filling application. Two self contained
cooling units quickly cool the parts, allowing
the system to operate at maximum efficiency. By
the time the parts reach the end of the feeding conveyor, they are cool enough
and stable enough to be filled into boxes without being damaged
or deformed.
|
To
allow this cooling conveyor to be relatively high off the
ground, the cooling unit was placed underneath the chamber
rather than on top. A metal duct on one side of the cooling
chamber directs cool air from the cooling unit into the chamber
through perforated
holes
in the
side
rail.
A hose
returns the
air to
the cooling
unit to be rechilled - this increases the efficiency of the unit and
assures cleaner air. A side rail cut out allows parts to be
fed directly into the chamber from an under press conveyor.
