How do Clean Air Bags Work?
Clean Air Bags mount on your hydraulic injection machines’ vent stacks, and expand and contract as the clamp opens and closes. The same air is re-used over and over again, preventing oil vapor from escaping into your plant air environment. The oil vapor condenses inside the bag, and drains back into the reservoir.

How to order
Note: Sketching a basic plan view layout, showing specific locations of vents on the tank and any obstacles, can be helpful to assure proper mounting clearances. Make sure there are no overhead obstructions such as pipes, etc., which could interfere with Clean Air Bag installation or flexing.

1. Determine:

  • Clamp ram diameter (in inches).
  • Maximum ram stroke (in inches).
  • Number of vent stacks
  • Distance between vent stacks (in inches)

Call EMI for sizing 800-543-6169 - or use the following formula:

(Ram Diameter ÷ 2)2 x 3.14 x Ram
Stroke x 1.1 ÷ 1,728 ÷ Number of Vents
(For machines with clamp assist cylinders, call EMI for sizing)

2. Or you can specify your machine type and we will determine the bag size. Send us:

  • Machine Manufacturer.
  • Reservoir vent stack diameter
  • Machine Clamp tonnage.
